Your Emotional Freedom Awaits — A Guide to EFT Tapping Points

They say life is 10 percent what happens to us, and 90 percent of how we react. So if we could improve our reactions, we could dramatically improve our life.

The trick is, most of our thoughts — and our reactions — spring from our subconscious mind, studies show.

This means beliefs and behaviors can be influenced by subconscious programming we may not even be aware of.

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as Tapping, is a gentle yet effective tool to help reprogram the subconscious mind. EFT involves tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on resolving a particular issue or problem, such as anxiety or chronic pain.

This process helps to release negative emotions and beliefs that may be stored in the subconscious mind, allowing a better life.

It Taps the Power of Qigong

In Qigong (and Traditional Chinese Medicine), there are twelve meridians or energy pathways in the body, each associated with a specific organ system.

EFT combines these tapping points with affirmations to go into our subconscious mind to help remove mental blocks and improve our response to situations.

✍️ Club Qigong’s official EFT guide to tapping points:

  1. Karate chop point — Located on the side of the hand (Small Intestine meridian). Tapping on this point can help to release negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and worry.
  2. Top of the head — Located at the crown of the head (Governing vessel meridian). Tapping on this point can help to improve mental clarity and focus, as well as relieve stress and tension.
  3. Eyebrow point — Located at the inner edge of the eyebrows (Bladder meridian). Tapping on this point can help to relieve tension headaches, improve eye health, and reduce anger or frustration.
  4. Side of the eye — Located on the temple area (Gallbladder meridian). Tapping on this point can help to relieve migraines, improve vision, and reduce indecisiveness or self-doubt.
  5. Under the eye — Located on the bone directly under the eye (Stomach meridian). Tapping on this point can help to reduce feelings of anxiety, improve digestion, and increase mental clarity.
  6. Under the nose — Located on the upper lip (Governing vessel meridian). Tapping on this point can help to relieve sinus congestion, reduce feelings of shame or guilt, and improve mental focus.
  7. Chin point — Located in the center of the chin (Central vessel meridian). Tapping on this point can help to reduce feelings of anxiety, improve immune function, and enhance overall well-being.
  8. Collarbone point — Located just below the collarbone (Kidney meridian). Tapping on this point can help to reduce fear or stress, improve respiratory function, and enhance digestion.
  9. Under the arm — Located on the side of the body (Spleen meridian). Tapping on this point can help to improve circulation, reduce feelings of depression, and increase mental clarity.
  10. Inside the wrist — Located on the inside of the wrist (Pericardium meridian). Tapping on this point can help to reduce feelings of anxiety or panic, improve heart health, and enhance overall well-being.
  11. Thumb point — Located on the side of the thumb (Lung meridian). Tapping on this point can help to improve respiratory function, reduce feelings of sadness or grief, and enhance immunity.
  12. Index finger point —(Large Intestine meridian). Tapping on this point can help to improve digestion, reduce feelings of guilt or shame, and enhance overall well-being.

Tapping these points (always gently at first) while using affirmations can help reverse specific issues or problems, to release negative emotions and beliefs stored in the subconscious mind to promote balance, well-being, and emotional freedom.
