Embracing Tension: Strengthening Your Spiritual Muscle on Earth School

What do we all feel down here on Earth School all the time?

Tension.

We try to avoid it. We try to look for ways around it. We try to alleviate it.

Often tension comes when our ego isn’t able to do something our spirit knows we shouldn’t do.

So what’s really happening here?

What do you do when you work out?

You experience a tension that actually makes you stronger?

Well, when you experience a mental tension that you overcome by choosing the right way, you’re actually flexing your spiritual muscle.

And that’s actually what it’s all about down here.

We’re given various tensions to overcome and each time we do, our spiritual muscle gets that much stronger and our capacity for joy gets that much greater.

So when you experience tension in your life, know that it’s just the latest challenge. Know that it’s just another workout to complete.
