From Hot Flashes to Harmony: Melissa’s Healing Story
If you’re a woman in your 40s or 50s or love someone who is, you may already know something starts shifting, not just in the body, in everything.
It’s called perimenopause and relationships can face huge challenges during this phase of life, especially if the man is also going through a midlife crisis.
It’s very common out there and a lot of people don’t realise it could be the root cause behind relationship issues.
One week it’s calm, the next week it’s chaos.
Mood swings, those 3:00am wake UPS that make no sense.
Hot flashes, brain fog, getting annoyed with things that used to not annoy you.
It’s like your hormones suddenly join the circus.
I watched this happen to Melissa, my partner, my best friend, and honestly, it hit hard.
Her thyroid was out of balance, her energy dropped and her emotions were on a wild ride.
So we decided to go all in on her healing.
She dived into how qigong, that’s energy work, helps regulate and harmonize our hormones.
She dived into the eastern wisdom behind perimenopause, how it’s often actually the thyroid gland that’s out of balance with hypothyroidism. It brings havoc instead of harmony to the hormones.
So Melissa became her own research project, testing what worked from both the western and eastern perspective.
Then she started finding success.
She actually created a course with a qigong flow and a detailed guide on what changes she made to help restore hormonal balance.
Cool the system, Cultivate our energy and help everything flow more smoothly again.
And we also added some additional articles about all the challenges, the unique challenges. How to heal the relationships, self esteem, and feel good about starting a new chapter of life on earth.
It’s a little known fact many women actually find their happiest days once they reach menopause, so it can actually be something to look forward to.
And Melissa shares what brought her back to feeling like herself again.
In fact, she ended up feeling better than she did before it all began.
Little by little, the hot flashes softened, the brain fog cleared, the sparkle came back, and our relationship strengthened.
She’s now more robust and energetic than I’ve almost ever seen her. And I’ve been with her a long time.
And it wasn’t about fighting her body. It was about listening to it.
That’s what we teach over at Club Qigong. Not just ancient jargon, not a quick fix, but the art of tuning in, moving gently, and letting your energy find its balance.
Melissa helps this phase of life become a celebration of who you’ve become and how powerful your energy really is. So if this speaks to you or someone you care about, you’ll find her flow in our articles over at Club Qigong.
