Unlock Ancient Wisdom: Harness the Power of Mudras to Activate Energy and Well-Being
So the ancients knew that our bodies were like electrical conduits with energy constantly flowing through us.
The better it flows through us, the more healthy we are.
Science only recently has shown us visually what this energy looks like in the bioelectric magnetic field.
Energy flows especially powerfully through our fingers and the ancients came up with the five elements that represent our five fingers. So combining the five elements with the energy that flows through them, we can use our fingers doing mudras to activate certain states of being in our body.
And so the five elements represented through our fingers to the ancients, the thumb was fire.
The index finger, air.
The middle finger, space, like outer space.
The ring finger, earth.
And the little pinky, water.
And so the cool part is we can use the fire element, our thumb, to touch any of the fingers to activate that element within our body.
For instance, to hydrate ourselves, we would touch the fire element to the water element, the pinky, to be more grounded, we would touch the fire element to our ring finger, earth, to feel more spacious, we would touch the thumb to the middle finger. And for the air element, which actually activates wisdom within us, we touch our thumb to the index finger. And thatβs a very common one in meditation, youβve seen that one.
The other very common one in the east, but not so well known in the west, is the prana mudra. And that just prana means life force. So itβs actually, I heard an Indian woman say this was the most important mudra and she does it as often as she can all day. And basically, itβs touching water and earth to the thumb, which activates basically our immune system. Were basically made of water and earth, so by activating those elements within our body, weβre grounding ourselves weβre strengthening what weβre made of, essentially.
So if you want to be physically strong, you touch these two. If you want to meditate and find the meaning of life or your deeper, higher self, touch that one. I use both. Hope this helps.
