βοΈ Joe’s Favorite Snacks
π« My favorite home-made snack (and dessert) is to melt some very dark chocolate squares π«, like 80 to 90% cocoa, and then stir in some almonds π₯ or seeds and other nuts π° and top it with some maple syrup π. I usually eat it warm like a pudding, but you can also let it cool and eat it like a candy bar π¬.
My favorite store-bought snack (also on Amazon) β Chickpea Puffs (vegan white cheddar) by Hippeas π±. Dip them in some hummus π₯£ or sour-cream-and-onion dip and wow! π€© But do watch the sodium count (drink extra water with them) π§. (If you can’t find them, corn chips are healthier than potato chips).
Speaking of Humus, you can top some with chocolate-inflused balsamic vinegar or “Sky Valley” Sriracha πΆοΈ to make your taste buds go wild (and on fire π₯ lol) while enjoying the healing properties of cayenne and vinager.
Melissa makes amazing granola in the oven, it’s so good warm! πͺ Check out homemade recipes online. π Serve with milk as a cereal!
π Yummy-fresh fruits and vegetables π₯ are already approved by our divine source, and placed in naturally recyclable wrappers, balanced with all the right stuff we need for our bodies. πππππππππππ₯ππππ ππ₯ππ₯₯π
Aged cheddar cheese π§ with just about anything, or alone!
A slice of toast π (sourdough has less gluten) topped with peanut butter π₯ and honey π― (both organic) make for an amazing snack!
Eating a fried egg π³ is a great way to boost energy and get healthy fats (not only for your heart β€οΈ, but the MK4 form of vitamin K2 in egg yolks and meats helps drive calcium into our teeth π¦· and bones πͺ). Try to find ethically sources when possible.
πΏ While popcorn is an obvious fun snack, try to serve it with real butter and preferably sea salt or even Celtic salt π§ (all in moderation).
π§ My favorite drink is Stur – actually healthy, doesn’t cause cavities, and tastes amazing β can be added to water anytime.
ππͺ When I really need a boosting snack (and healing), I eat an apple π, often with some organic peanut butter π₯ (the key with organic peanut butter is to stir it up nicely and then put it in the refrigerator, it will stay nicely stirred, and it’s kind of fun to add that to warm melted chocolate π«).
π The “Last Snack” I have each night (the earlier the better) is a bowl of organic oatmeal π₯£ with raisins, dried cherries π, and almonds, topped with maple syrup π. All the fiber helps move everything along while cleaning the system.
